i agre with 100% mob rule is not the way to go BUT when the law no longer protects or suports the victim rather it suports and protects the criminal then people will and do take the law ? into their own hands...moat of course was not a victim...others have been very much the victim and the law has been unable or unwilling to suport them with the help they needed

i agre with 100% mob rule is not the way to go BUT when the law no longer protects or supports the victim rather it suports and protects the criminal then people will and do take the law ? into their own hands...moat of course was not a victim...others have been very much the victim and the law has been unable or unwilling to suport them with the help they needed There is a huge number of people and was even at the time saying that Moat was a victim who just plain cracked under pressure and should not have been treated as public entertainment manhunt. I am not sure that I agree with them, but I do think it more than likely (on the analysis of a mate formerly in SBS marines) that the SAS took him out either directly or indirectly knowing that he held a gun to his own head and shocking him into a reflex that pulled the trigger. If he had been driven mad then I think death out of his sorrow better than languishing in jail wallowing over his pain. Perhaps, if that really was the case, we could do two things: first, give those who hit out at others in agony the same sympathy as we do those who slice their arms or attempt suicide, and second, treat men the same as women under the same circumstances.
