We are all learning, that is true but it seems some people never learn and I give you one good example. 2000 years ago the Romans had Slaves mine asbestos, they had Romans supervising the Slaves who did all the work but the Romans noted that the life expectancy of both the Roman supervisors and the Slaves was markedly shorter than Slaves who worked in other functions and the Romans came to the conclusion that all the deaths from chest problems were down to exposure to Asbestos. They Knew this 2000 years ago, Asbestos was bad for you yet even today we hear of people who were exposed to asbestos up to a few years ago and in China they still use Asbestos in Industry.

Oh yes it was very real - the coming ice age. Here's Leonard Nimoy to explain it.. 1970s sources Academic analysis of the peer-reviewed studies published at that time shows that most papers examining aspects of climate during the 1970s were either neutral or showed a warming trend. I need a link to work with that claim, it's patently erroneous, but then this is highly political stuff... There was an overwhelming scientific consensus in the 1970s that the Earth was heading into a period of significant cooling. The possibility of anthropogenic warming was relegated to a minority of the papers in the peer-reviewed literature.
Whether or not there was a global cooling consensus in the 1970s is important in climate science because, if there were a cooling consensus (which subsequently proved to be wrong) then it would question the legitimacy of consensus in science. In particular, the validity of the 93% consensus on global warming alleged by Cook et al (2013) would be implausible. That is, if consensus climate scientists were wrong in the 1970s then they could be wrong now. wattsupwiththat.com/?s=1970s%20coolingThey were very wrong then and they are so very wrong now. The 70s consensus on cooling is gradually being airbrushed out of [scientific] history, as your claim bears out.

""People make predictions, they are often wrong."" But Apple, these were not just,'people', were they, they were scientists. Can you understand why there is so much skepticism ? There IS Climate Change, this is due to the waxing and waning of the sun and also I reckon sunspots may play a role. My beef is that so-called,"experts", reckon that Climate change can be affected by humans and they want to impose all sorts of restrictions and costs on the rest of us, but in reality they want to bind us to their will Not that long ago doctors recommended smoking cigarettes, even to pregnant women. Point is, we are all learning, the curve never ends. When reality is ignored, even denied, it's fair to say they aren't learning anything. It's a religion, they cannot accept they're wrong. Reorganising the world depends upon them. Everything they claim is based on failed modelling. Climate Model Failure. Deny this reality and you've joined the faith, so to speak.
