have just had a quick shufti around the papers and opinions...…...the general thought seems to be that in regard to the letter.. M should let sleeping dogs lie.... as it was a friend of hers who first mentioned it.. and her father let the letter be seen and printed as self defence on his part.....it was her family that put out into the media especially her father
in regard to phone tapping that was delt with ages ago
and a general concensus that M has brought all this on her self by her very questionable behaviour.. a gift which keeps on giving its just been one thing after another from her....damned bad manners... and sheer idiocy....you cannot show so much distain for a country and its people and then expect them to lurve you in return especially when they foot the bills
the Cambridges took George and Charlotte to a football match …. they sat in with the crowd..and were perfectly safe how very different to the kerfuffle of the tennis match...... where seats all around M were left empty and a chap taking a photo was told to stop.. turned out he wasn't taking a photo of her any way

Being Royal means the cash rolls in Being celebs means the adoration keeps rolling in They are the most odious, virtue signalling, snobbish cretins in a generation. Shouldn't it be the other way around? Why would celebrities be adored ... unless it's for the fruits of their talent? No, they are adored by other celebrities - in the hope some of the royal stardust might rub off on them. Ellen DeGeneres and polo star Nacho Figueras (who?) have spoken out to defend Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ...
Pop star Pink is joining celebrities like Ellen DeGeneres and Elton John in defending the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from "bullying" www.harpersbazaar.com/celebrity/latest/a28751429/celebrities-defend-prince-harry-meghan-markle-attacks/Sycophants.

Most of your Royals seem to be both, mouse. At least from this side of the pond. most of our Royals are both... dunno where you got that idea from... cannot think of any of them that tick that box of sleb... with the exception of meghan who doesn't apear to know what she is... and as for tabloids v mainstream[what ever that is]…...its when talking of the royals best to realise who is doing the reporting regardless of whether paper is tabloid or mainstream who is doing the reporting is more important than the news paper or media outlet... wheras for you it appears to be the media outlet is more important One could argue that Diana Spencer was more of a celebrity than a Princess. She certainly used it.

Isn't it the Daily Mail that is gathering most of the attention? If you are angry, perhaps you should focus the anger at them.

angry isn't the word Jessie and as Fret points out the Sycophants. who crawl out of the woodwork are pretty nauseous in their creepy agreements...
Dianna played the press very well but mega n isn't Dianna... no matter how much she trys ...even down to Archie having the MINI ME hat ...which may I say was totally uneeded and very obviously a silent message in the war M is having for control....Dianna in the beginning was very young and innocent of the press.. M is very far from innocent and makes calculated moves all the time.. she is media savy nearly 40 and certainly no innocent …..
one thing for certain I hope they will both be paying their own expences … because the country is overall in no humour for paying any bills the Harry and M
Jessie its no use blaming the Daily Mail.. the mail is along with others only reporting what this couple do and say...and in one particular case write...and oddly enough we do have an absolute right to know when public figures are hyporcrites...spend tax payers money wantonly and do not do the the jobs they are very well paid to do Thomas Markle is the one who gave the letter to the news paper......and her sister and brother who have been causing problems from day one... although many now are beginning to think possibly the sister has been right all along..... I mean who has only one family member at their wedding ......who ends a marriage the way m did..and why lie about not knowing who Harry was … etcetcetc

Dianna is dead so she doesn't count and that was more mass hysteria whipped up to a frensy over the years......
so which Royals are slebs….or thought to be slebs
been having a look around at the press reports on these two forthcoming court cases....and this seems the best one
""""""""Prince Harry used his statement to accuse the tabloid Press of embarking on a 'ruthless campaign' against Meghan. He also referenced Princess Diana and said his 'deepest fear' was his 'wife falling victim to the same powerful forces' that his mother faced.
In response Mr Jephson wrote: 'Diana may have been something in the mould-breaker stakes herself, but she never ducked Balmoral, lectured voters on democracy or borrowed invective more normally found in the White House to communicate with a free and fundamentally friendly press.' He also referred to criticism of the British media from America, suggesting Meghan's 'celebrity sisters' needed to 'learn the difference between bullying and criticism, between sarcasm and irony"""""

The Sussexes are taking futile legal action - not the Daily Mail - and the Sussexes will get the taxpayer handout. Thomas Markle shared HIS letter with the DM. They haven't a leg to stand on.

They haven't a leg to stand on. not forgetting that M herself shared it with sleb friends or sisters as she prefers to call them in the first instance.. so could m end up suing herself...…. as has been said.. I do hope m has very deep pockets to pay for all this...or harry may be forced to pay the bill...… because if the tax payers is expected to foot the bill... all hell will break out in this country we blame the person not the media who reports on behaviour......press misbehaving is totally a separate issue... nor do we go into hysterics over certain types of media/papers....if we did no one would ever read the guardian or the daily star mind as most papers are now tabloids its has curbed some of the snobbery

The only way I can figure out how to understand your view of celebrities is to think about it in the same way we see the Kardashians.

Vaccuous wastes of space. So then, Dex got it right ... and where the Ks are concerned, I agree. Not fair, I'm sure, but that's the way they come across to me. They feed the tabloids. But, all entertainers do not fall into that category.

but i would say that most do come under the terms of sleb and star so often their five mins of questionable fame flickers and dies.largely depending on the tastes of the targetted audience... ...while those at the top end of entertainment...those who are masters of their crafts who really are excelent are few and far between... the late Jessie Norman was one who excelled or Judy Dench who has honed her craft now they are really people whose talents can be celebrated....

That's it, beth.
