I chose to buy the audio copy of Larry McMurtry's The Last Picture Show. I started it today (Thursday) and did not realize it had such a large quantity of teen-age sex. I intend to stay with it for at least a couple more chapters, hoping against home there will be a plot.

Just remember, this is a trilogy and if you hang in there with the first book (this one) you'll enjoy all three.

Beth, I am moving on with the book. Interesting and well written. I wonder where I can get a copy of the movie when I've finished reading.

Getting ready t finish up the English murder mystery, "Song Bird". The first third of the book was slow and dragging, but the rest has been just fine. No big surprise. I figured out who-dunnit and why the favorite suspect was innocent, early on.
The writer's name is Peter Grainger, if anyone decides to give it a try.

Beth, these messages have gotten mixed up with some of yours on my spaces and vice versa.
I cannot take them down so, when you come in, see what you can do with them.
I did not like the McMurtry book and am searching for something new. I am thinking of getting an audible copy because there's no need to worry about virus germs having touched them.

It looks okay. When I'm on a tight time schedule, it's hard to tell what I'll do.
Thinking of moving this thread into Write. Maybe tomorrow.
I've really enjoyed rereading The Church of Dead Girls. Very good book. Finished it this evening.

Very good book. Finished it this evening. That's a good idea. Keep the readers and writers in one place. I'll look for them there later.

The next book in the series after Song Bird is titled, On Eden Street, and looks like more of the same style. Hope to remember it when I start casting about for another one.]

p.s. After giving me the time and temperature this morning, Alexa asked if I would tell her my name to make it easier to converse.
I declined. Nothing against Alexa ... just a lack of interest in getting too snujggly and friendly with someone who may want more conversation than I do.
