and again same as same as... there is the tiniest touch of green appearing..if as promised we get sun over the next few days then every thing will burst into life Back in the low 60s F here. That's normal spring weather for us. April showers. Not cold enough for the heat or hot enough for the AC. I can live with it for awhile.

it's chilly with some rain showers tonight but should be warmer with sun tomorrow.
Break time's over so I need to get back to work.
Good night. Sweet dreams.

A few years ago, there were a few people here who were Ree Drummond fans, as I still am. She is an internet and TV personality who lives in Oklahoma and is mostly famous for her cooking, cook books and TV cooking show. She is opening a western style Inn/Lodging House, soon. Here is a link to see some pictures and find out more. I understand the Inn is booked up until October already with a very few weekend only openings between now and then. Here is a link so you can go visit the article if you are interested. www.cnn.com/travel/article/pioneer-woman-hotel-oklahoma/index.htmlIf you decide to visit her site and browse the recipes, be sure to make her lasagna in your own kitchen. Excellent. thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/

.. after yesterdays hot hot hot and cloudless sky we have all over cloud and grey again this morning and how long we had waited for yesterday[our north weather is never the same as southern weather.] I think the whole village must have been out yesterday eapecially early evening .. children playing on the green couples walking and babies pushed in prams and all in as little as possibkle summer wear.... friends came round to us and we sat in the garden between past their best daffodils and bright denticulatas those being to onlt colour off the moment.... those of fair skin sat under the brollies where thos like me just soaked up the vitamin C

Jessie, I love Pioneer Woman recipes! She's doing very well with the hotel and all. Couldn't happen to a more deserving person - lots of hard work behind her success. Thanks for the links.
Mouse, I hope you have more spring to enjoy. We're spring-like today, too but there's a wee nip in the breeze that encourages light weight slacks and long sleeved tops. We're getting there - if slower.
I have errands to run but hope to be back later.
Have a good'un

There is a freeze warning until later in the morning, but a forecast for a sunny, mild day. We intend to drive out to the country and spend a few hours with daughter at our house out there. We'll check and see what needs to be done to bring everything up to spec before summer.
Instead of spending part of the summer in TE, we hope to spend it on the little farm only an hours drive up the road. Last year, the long drives exhausted us so we took that into consideration when planning for this year.

it's mild and pleasant out with sun and a few stray clouds.
There's a big Earth Day celebration with all kinds of events at a park near here. We're taking daughter and one of her friends and meeting up with some other people there. Afterward, maybe dinner out if the kids aren't too tired.

Next will be the cherry and then the dogwood. We are usually a week or two behind you. We are going to be out and about today. I hope everyone here has a good Earth Day.

hard to believe we're winding down to the end of April. May will be busy, too, but by the first part of June things should be getting back to what passes for normal. Thanks to all who keep up the informative, interesting posts and keep the conversation flowing.
