dark and very dreary.. but dry.. almost feels like snow We have about 2 inches with an under-layer of ice. I haven't heard a single car go by this a.m.. Of course, I'm not on the main thoroughfare, but it seems silent and strange. The whole neighborhood seems to have parked the cars and chosen to remain indoors this morning. errggghhughghgh.. we are due some snow tomorrow and the next three days.. ..fingers crossed it will be more sleet than snow.. as I have to keep an appointment tomorrow.. and the roads there and back are steep and twisty its dark and gloomy again and very cold...but dry

There's another big winter storm coming up the coast from down about GA, up into New England. It's supposed to hit parts of Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky but not as hard as NE. We're making a store trip to stock up just in case.

no snow so far here... but we do have rain... but at least with rain we can get where we are going and back again with out problem trouble where we live there are only two roads which meet in the centre of the village ... and they all have very steep parts to go down or come up...when it gets really bad some body usually gets a tractor to haul the cars up.. or away iff they have slid down one bad winter Herr mouse lost two cars sliding into snowdrifts in one morning ..trying to get out of the village ...4x4 seem to cope a little better than saloon cars.... last week when grandson was still attendintg hospital and we had snow.. daughter slid down one nasty hill... luckily no one was hurt and the car undamaged and she just came to a slow halt...it shook her up though

We have snow and ice on the ground, but the streets and roads are clear. Life goes on.

We have snow and ice on the ground, but the streets and roads are clear. Life goes on. Ours is melting off a little bit (temp 38 F), but as soon as the sun sets we'll be back down in the low teens and it will freeze all over again with black ice. Be careful in the morning or late tonight.

Texas is closed today! We had some sleet and a little bit of snow last night. I’m not going to drive too far from home. I’m more afraid of the crazies.

It probably happens so seldom people do not know how to react. We have had about 4 inches. A friend in western KY told me this morning they have had 7 inches of combined snow and ice. My neighbor says she is looking into the Kroger home delivery plan.

Sunshine and blue skies and 5 inches of snow on the ground with an icy crust on top. Means we'll be working indoors for a couple of days.
Temp in 13 degrees F with show flurries for the rest of the day. That could pile on another inch.
It's winter.

I have 3 to 11 shift today and got here early because I left home in time to drive the route I was sure had cleared off the snow and ice. Made it just fine with hopes that it will be just as clear on the way home tonight.

I've been out and about and busy most of the day. Now, I'm tired and hungry and glad to be into the warm with the smell of roasted chicken in the air. My daughter has made a chicken and stuffing casserole and saved a nice portion for me along with a piece of cherry cheesecake. I'm going to move along and indulge myself. I have a couple of things to post but they'll wait until tomorrow. Best to all.
