Off work until Tuesday and the weather's great! Enjoy it, Annie! I have just over a week until I go back to work and the vacation time has flown by. This is my favorite time of year, so I'll try to set my work hours to make room for free time, too.

Thank you, Beth. It has been a very nice day.
I'm tempted to start a thread about the public spit-ball battle Trump is having with the sports teams over players who won't stand for the national anthem, but Trump has already backed down some. Plus, I think it's an attention and publicity getting thing on his part. The Alabama Senate candidate he's pulling for will probably lose, Melania is in the news for her appearance at the Canadian fest and Barron is on the sports page for making the Jr. Soccer team. That won't do unless Donald is getting talked about for being busy trying to tear other people down. lol
Oh and another reason might be to distract from the Russian investigation that seems to be closing around Paul Manafort and Jared Kushner.
If the sports feud gets anymore heated we'll need a thread but why bother for something phony that's going to be over in a few days.

I'm glad you have time off to enjoy the lovely weather, Annaj. We have had a nice day with company and are leaving for 2 days in the country in an hour or so.
May the sunshine continue!

I noticed in the news that Hurricane Maria is now moving up the east coast and there are storm and surge alerts for the Carolina shore and on north. We certainly hope it moves on quickly without doing damage.

Another hot day (upper 80s F). I've been running errands and picked up a few groceries to get by until marketing day on Friday. Managed to find a good, ripe but not over ripe watermelon and some fresh picked corn for corn on the cob.
No leaves have changed here, either, mouse. Seems just like mid summer.
