Even Senator McCain, who voted to kill the bill Early this morning has explained that he voted against the bill because he believed it would not ensure “ . . . actual reform our health care system . . . “ and continued with : “ . . . While the amendment would have repealed some of Obamacare's most burdensome regulations, it offered no replacement to actually reform our health care system and deliver affordable, quality health care to our citizens," McCain said in his first statement after voting to kill the bill. . . . “ MeCain had more than one reason, and he also said, "It's the right thing to do." If the others who knew it was the "right thing to do" had not been cowards - afraid of Trump on the one hand and Paul Ryan on the other, they would have done the same.

The Obamacare tax is null and void, anyway. Congress can't do anything about that.
With the tax gone, there is no incentive to subscribe to Obamacare and the noxious beast will die on its own.

you tend to judge everything from how it affects YOU. No, I read the fine print. Obviously you don't. Don't you know people or have relatives (especially older relatives) who are affected by national health care? The people I know eligible and using Medicare or VA are not affected by the ACA. They were getting all that before The Dark One convinced people the middle class should pay all the expenses of health care for illegal aliens and for people living outside their own states. Good people who have no way to pay for the high cost of care or good insurance policies. As Randy keeps saying, THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO. Trump's supporters want Obamacare REPEALED, not replaced. They also want the border wall and the travel ban on the muzzies. You'll find out the hard way, I guess, how wrong you are, soon enough.

Then to get good health care citizens will have to seek through the black market.

Well, the whole affair is almost comical.
Romneycare (let us call the thing by its proper name) is anything but an ideal solution to the problem of healthcare provision.
But in essence the problem is that too many 'conservatives' are happy to get out their wallets to support schemes that benefit no one (or at least only a tiny proportion of the population) but suddenly develop a severe case of arthritis in the hand (to say nothing of a compassion bypass in the heart) when it involves paying taxes for something that actually BENEFITS most people.
I find it hard to regard the opposition to a universal healthcare system funded by taxation as anything other than an act of conscious treason since the health of a nation's citizens should be one of its primary functions along with defence and internal security.
