its part of the NHS.. so its a service available to ALL who need it .. I live in an area of.. walking .climbing.. rock climbing .caving thermal flying.. gliding ...etc etc many places being inaccess by any thing other than a helicopter.. some times a working landrover can be used.. but that would not be suitable for spine injuries My son was transported on the Life Flight helicopter to Sacramento and I followed by car...he was 14. It turned out the surgery to remove pellet from his throat was more dangerous than leaving it in....it's still in there. Hi Chefmate51, I hope there is no lead in a pellet, because that is supposed to be poisonous. I have heard that objects can sometimes travel and end up somewhere that can prove to be dangerous. Is he still able to speak alright?

I know that feeling. Walking through stores can be very boring if there's nothing in particular we need or want. That's when I usually end up buying things for other people that THEY probably don't need. lol Might as well stay home.
That's exactly what I'm going to do today.
Hot and cloudy.

Good that your son survived that injury, Chef.
It has been a hot and very sunny day, today. I had thought to bake pies for a few people for the weekend but have not felt very well all day. I am taking it easy and hoping for improvement.

I'm not quuite sure of the spelling of the word. The hounds bey, and ofcourse bay is an inlet, so take your pick. LOL

Hi Chefmate51, I don't, I'm just right for my size 5:3 and walking to the bus stop is enough exercise for me, it's quite a way to the main road.

Someone once came across a Masterpiece worth thousands. Some poor soul didn't know it's worth when they handed it in and neither did the shop owner. Would YOU know?

Cheffy.. the farming series which live and farm in different periods of history are really good.. I hope you enjoy them I think theres one going back further than the Tudors... there is also a program about Christmas feasting set in an old castle[quite near us[ .. .which still retained the original kitchens they cooked and prepared from old recipes and served and decorated the way they would have in the 13th 14th century...I will see if theres a link.. a friend of mine is an archeologist.. and they were working on a site near by here.. they always have an open weekend after the dig.. any way they constructed a hut as it would have been lived in.. in Roman Times.. I was surprised at how cosy these huts would have been..[though the smoke from the fire would have not been pleasant to live with] If anyone is interested, historian Lucy Worsley did a segment on the living room and heating evolving from fire in middle of room as mentioned above to present age.

I don't need to lose weight either... I was 5-3but appear to have shrunk this last two years re shopping..daughter and I like a mooch around the shops now and then.. and of course my shopping friend moved to darkest Wales.. but we would make a day of it... drive some where for shopping or just a jaunt on which shopping either happened or not... stop for morning coffee some where . and later go for lunch....and meander back home for around 5 ish so now daughter and I go on little moochies ...for things we need and things we do not need... its amazing just how many things you never knew you needed..jump up and say.. buy me buy me I never go shopping for food.. I did that for so many decades and it bored me stiff.. so very happy to pass that on to daughter
