Just want to mention that, 7 years ago today, Fret and I walked into this tiny little site some friends of mine had built to check out the different options ProBoards offered and decide whether to keep or delete it. We decided it looked promising, so we gathered up the people we thought might enjoy the adventure and moved in. I'm not going to say every single moment of every single day has been perfect, but we have never regreted our decision. Here's to whatever is yet to come.

slightly misty but dry and grey but with broken cloud the TV from the livening room is now residing in my room as a replacement .. a little larger than I am used to in my BR ...but it serves the purpose daughter who very rarely watches tv at all made the suggestion.. and I also very rarely watch TV in the LR its never on in the day or early evening so until such time as we decide we need one in the LV I shall not buy another and problem solved Hi Mouse, I guess you are manning your computer most of your spare time, that probably keeps you busy?

I want to say just a word to those who have complaints about being given links to source news articles instead of or along with personal replies to posts. I have a little problem understanding this as I'm always delighted to get a good link I can read for more information. Not everyone has time to type out long missives .. not everyone wants to. Take it for what it's worth and use the links to brush up on your subject. If you're willing to offer an opinion about what's actually going on, could be more folks will pick up on your comments and add to the thread. Things are happening very quickly in politics right now, so by brushing aside links, you may be missing information you need/want to know. carry on This is lame, Beth. You should know better. Bouncing around from one web page to another doesn't make one educated about anything. Only someone that can't think critically would bank on the Internet as a reliable source of information. When someone refuses to defend a position with reasonable argument, I am compelled to dismiss anything that person writes. Maybe we should just have everyone here replaced with robots. They're pretty good at regurgitating search results. Hi Josephdphillips, That kinda makes sense, afterall what is a link? Only someone else's point of view which may or may not clarify the subject matter. I for one am not always able to use a link for some unknown reason, the same goes for pictures, videos and music.

I used to watch all the different comedy regulars like Are You Being Served etc. I loved them all, I've even got them in DVD's.

The links make information available to Babylon readers and posters for comments and discussion. If you don't have an opinion to express about the content of links, fine, move on .. but if you do, post and open (or continue) the conversation. Common sense.

colod abd raining.. so very happy to be indoors Snuggle up and stay warm. Makes me think of these wonderful warm throws my daughter has. I think they are Martex vellum throws. I'm hoping to get a few before winter rolls round again. We are still in Dogwood Winter, but it should go into the high 60s F, today.

It is very pleasant here, today. I am baby-sitting 2 of my grand-children as my daughter and her husband won't return from a long weekend jaunt until this evening.
May your week get off to a good start.

I'll add my opinion here and there but have decided I won't be part of any thread that involves personal (verbal) attacks. IMO, it kills good opinionated discussion. A little smack is one thing, but hard insults and derogatory comments are rude, crude and not for me.

It is a beautiful spring day. The flowering trees and plants are creating a pink, white and yellow display all over town.
The fried apple pies were well received last week, so I chose them for this mornings pie treats. We cooled them, filled a tupper ware container with them and now they can be eaten cold or warmed in the microwave for 2 or 3 days worth of sweets.
Beth, I own one of those throws. We have had it 5 years now and it is like new. Excellent investment.
