Donald Trump, out in front. I heard that Cruz got behind a pulpit and preached a sermon in a church on Sunday. Really going after those evangelicals. Looks pretty phoney to me. Trump has a comfortable lead in the polls. I'm not going to bore you with continued repeats of what I think of Cruz. Well, ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) maybe I will after while when I have more time. lol

Trump seems to be getting some support in Europe. Mainly because of his outburst on banning muslims from entering the US.
With what is going on in Europe, old ma Clinton would be a disaster - just an observation.

Overheard on the bus: ‘Oh God, don't say that! We want a strong American nationalist up there who is NOT determined to take the easy way out and simply help heal the sick, feed the undernourished and restore those who are without hope and without jobs, all out of the pockets of decent, hard-working Americans. Take a lesson from Little Bo-peep, leave them alone and with luck the poor sheep will wander off and get lost - the problem will take care of itself. It all ready is - more and more people are out of work but unemployment figures are diminishing – so, voilà! Anyway, we urgently need to make room for the lost sheep of Mexico, Somalia and Syria that we so badly need to clean and polish our mansions, remove the garbage from our tumbledown schools and hospitals, clean our streets and our public lavatories, and clear out the deadly asbestos from our public buildings and restaurants.’

The voice of sarcasm. That's all fine, but it takes both kinds of people, the right and the left, to make things work for everybody.

I read that SC is an open primary state so maybe Trump tossed in that criticism of George W the other day to try for some of the Democratic and Independent votes there. Something sure has pushed him ahead.

Of course that goes for all the candidates. Maybe some are like me .. ANYBODY but Cruz.

Versions of this are doing the email rounds - relevant to your comment:
THIS IS A NON PARTISAN JOKE THAT CAN BE ENJOYED BY ALL PARTIES! NOT ONLY THAT - IT IS POLITICALLY CORRECT!!
While walking down the street one day a politician is tragically hit by a truck and dies. His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance. 'Welcome to heaven,' says St. Peter. 'Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see high officials around these parts, so we're not sure what to do with you.' 'No problem, just let me in,' says the man. 'Well, I'd like to, but I have orders from higher up. What we'll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Afterwards you can choose where to spend eternity.' 'Really, I've made up my mind. I want to be in heaven,' says the man. 'I'm sorry, but we have our rules.' And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell. The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him. Everyone is very happy and in evening dress. They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people. They play a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster, caviar and champagne. Also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly & nice guy who has a good time dancing and telling jokes. They are having such a good time that before he realizes it, it is time to go. Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator rises....
The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens on heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him. 'Now it's time to visit heaven.' So, 24 hours pass with the politician joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns. 'Well, then, you've spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity.' The politician reflects for a minute, then he answers: 'Well, I would never have said it before, I mean heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in hell.'
So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell. Now the doors of the elevator open and he's in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage. He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above. The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulder. 'I don't understand’, stammers the politician, 'yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse, and we ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time. Now there's just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable. What happened? ' The devil looks at him, smiles and says, 'Yesterday we were campaigning . . . . . today you voted’.

The SC Primary is Saturday and today, Pope Francis has accused Donald Trump of NOT being a Christian. Here is Trump's reply If and when the Vatican is attacked by ISIS, which as everyone knows is ISIS’s ultimate trophy, I can promise you that the Pope would have only wished and prayed that Donald Trump would have been President because this would not have happened. ISIS would have been eradicated unlike what is happening now with our all talk, no action politicians. The Mexican government and its leadership has made many disparaging remarks about me to the Pope, because they want to continue to rip off the United States, both on trade and at the border, and they understand I am totally wise to them. The Pope only heard one side of the story – he didn’t see the crime, the drug trafficking and the negative economic impact the current policies have on the United States. He doesn’t see how Mexican leadership is outsmarting President Obama and our leadership in every aspect of negotiation. For a religious leader to question a person’s faith is disgraceful. I am proud to be a Christian and as President I will not allow Christianity to be consistently attacked and weakened, unlike what is happening now, with our current President. No leader, especially a religious leader, should have the right to question another man’s religion or faith. They are using the Pope as a pawn and they should be ashamed of themselves for doing so, especially when so many lives are involved and when illegal immigration is so rampant. www.thegatewaypundit.com/2016/02/breaking-pope-francis-attacks-donald-trump-trump-responds-video/

Southern Evangelicals don't think Catholics are Christians.

Maybe she could appoint Trump Secretary of State. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

The polls have been open in South Carolina for over 5 hours now. I don't see anything posted on the newssites yet to indicate whether there a low, normal or 'uge turnout. Guess they don't want to start too soon and be left with nothing to say before the polls close this evening at 7.
I have a get together to go to this afternoon. Maybe things will be reving up by the time I get back.
