There needed to be an answer to, "How", also. God was a good answer to certain phenomena of nature. Over time, science found ways to explain them, but the idea of God had the backing of the rich, powerful church. People were not inclined to give up their beliefs. people will never give up power...wealth or control... as one of the popes remarked..it has served us well this myth of christ Hi Mouse, What do you actually mean by Christ being a myth? I believe that Christ as a man did exist, and he did have the ability to perform what seemed to be miracles. I believe that there is such happenings as miracles which we don't understand.

Yeshua Ha Notsri was quite a magician. Do you think it possible to persuade people to sign a petition banning water? It most certainly is.

People were not inclined to give up their beliefs. the rich and powerful have always backed powerful religions what ever those religions purported to be.... as long as those religions worked in the favour of the rich and powerful and its the rich and powerful that make religions rich and powerful.. one feeds the other and they both keep the other in power
