As far as I know, people who commit a first time offence are usually dealt with leniently depending on the offence so there was no reason for them to be prosecuted and apparently they didn't have enough evidence to make it worthwhile. in this case it doesn't matter about first offence etc ..as proseqution would come in under the new ""Hate Crime"" set of rules and the proof is writ large for all to see what there isn't is the political will.. for the simple fact that to do this woman would open a whole can of worms as there are many others whose words would have to be addressed..and we cannot have that can we..it would look like a witchunt so it will continue to be looked on as a ahem"" white crime""

Some pigs are more equal than others..... "MA in gender and media studies." FFS a total non qualification Hi Fretslider, you don't seem to realise that the descriptive words that you use, let everyone know the person that you really are. That is the reason that I cannot be insulted, because they are in your mind and not in the mind of the person insults are directed towards. The so called insult stays with the original instigator and they reap the consequences of their thoughts. A persom does not suffer any circumstance that they have not earned, but you seem to be oblivious to this fact, like a lot more that point the finger instead of showing compassion. That's a nice bit of Freudian analysis. I didn't realise that you were in fact a 3rd wave feminist studying at Goldsmiths. I still fail to see what insult was directed at you. Would you care to point it out? Some pigs are more equal than others..... #killallwhitemen 'The decision to discontinue these charges has been taken because there is not enough evidence to provide a realistic prospect of conviction.'www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3302260/Police-drop-charges-against-student-28-diversity-officer-accused-tweeting-killallwhitemen.html#ixzz3qWRMlKKY#blowupanairport A trainee accountant who posted a Twitter message threatening to blow up an airport has lost an appeal against his conviction.

I always thought that people were human beings and therefore not pigs. Besides that I just thought I would let you into a little secret!!! ( just joking )

Hi Fretslider, I don't think that the fellow intended to really blow up the airport, but just felt like it as it was evidently very important to fly that day. But I'm fed up seeing words like scum, pigs and a few others pertaining to people. I don't see any need for it, especially when the pointers are not so squeaky clean themselves!!!

whether it was the mans intention to blow up the airport is irelevent...he was convicted in a court of law...unlike this woman against whom charges have been dropped like it or not some people are indeed scum...and are not worth the air they breathe..

The term some pigs are more equal than others is a metaphor from Animal Farm. Perhaps you should read up instead of being easily offended by ignorance. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animal_Farm

You see the situation as an inconvenience they see it as a lifesaver. Whatever? There is still no need to call anyone scum or pig, when they ARE human beings with problems.

What a 'grand example.'
A phrase in one of the great literary triumphs used by the author (George Orwell no less) to demonstrate the use of words and the altering view of them to develop words of propaganda. There in the novel the pigs (those particular characters) are used to demonstrate a systematic abuse of logic and language to control their underlings.
Words are important and in their use people can be convinced of things never existing and then even to the point of initiating very stupid and harming acts. Right now within the United States there is a new movement with identity of “Black Lives Matter.” This has created a movement against the police to highlight and attack (at least verbally) killings by police that really exist in only the minutest numbers. This movement has morphed into groups which march and chant to kill police.
This is an entirely contrived movement based on propaganda from the imagination and yet, even with the actual facts available to anyone, the illusion has become the reality. This is the meaning of the quote from 'Animal Farm – A Fairy Story [1945]' and was (at least my understanding) of the meaning of Fret.
Now, based on what is clearly a misunderstanding (intentional misuse?) of Fret's intent we have a perfect example of what George Orwell was demonstrating.

The plight of which people? The people that Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and UAE won't take in, you know their Arab brothers next door? Why should I pay for these people when their own do not? They are here for a reason and it isn't as refugees. You still haven't got the hang of some pigs being more equal than others. For your illumination; Metaphor - a figure of speech in which a word or phrase is applied to an object or action to which it is not literally applicable Your 'offence' is so contrived.

Hi Fretslider, I'm not quite sure what you mean, but if you think that I am putting on an act, then that doesn't bother me, because you can't stop people from thinking, so even though I care about people, it's my relationship with God that really counts, and I know that I am loved. We have a saying in ECKANKAR, I am Soul, and I exist because God loves me. A bit of alright I would say!!!
