grey with rain not at all inviting things to do to day and people coming...they are coming to day as the road is going to be closed between 7am to 6pm for the next week for essential repars to road and the small bridge over the river between our villages...the bridge was built yonks ago to let waggons and horses and pedestrians travel...now it takes buses and huge lorries often they get totally stuck if they are on sat nav...inspite of size and weight restrictions they are always knocking the great stones which make up the bridge

Beth we are pulling for you.
The climate out your way sounds too chilly for me, but I can see how that a lot of people would like it.

Great to have the Beth news. Thank you so much Dex.
Happy Monday to all. Had just a teensy bit of rain off and on. Of course only after I put a dresser outside that I intended to put in a garage sale.....because I said "oh we haven't had any rain....it should be fine!!" Grrrrrrrrrr
My baby Tango is trying to get renamed Houdini......twice this weekend he managed to escape his harness and diaper rig.........luckily........no accidents!!! He is truly a joy though. He is so active and just has no fear of ANYTHING!! He's just so funny!!
Started baking last night for a Farmer's Market this Saturday. Will have our pet treats out there. It's probably one of our favorite events. Just lasts about 3 hours but we probably sell the most of any of our events at this one. It's every second Saturday of the month during the summer. I got the pumpkin biscotti and the pumpkin molasses treats done. Now I will have the peanut butter, carrot and honey muffins, pineapple banana muffins, bacon treats and then the vanilla yogurt-applesauce muffins to do........my dogs love me on baking weeks!!! They ever figure out how to twist a doorknob to get into the room I keep them in during the week though....and I'm in big trouble!!
All my best to all of you......be safe out there!!

Hello All.
Another toasty day here. Oh wait......it's Texas.......of course it's toasty!! We did get a pretty good rain last night so it did drop the temperature a few degrees!! Any little bit helps and the vegetation deeply appreciated it!!
Last year we were in a major drought and most of our lakes were drying up.....this year with the monsoon season we had all of our lakes have recovered and things are growing again! So I really don't want to complain too much.
I'm getting into a pretty decent routine with Tango. The first week was a little rough getting used to changing diapers again.....but if I keep him on a feeding schedule I pretty much know when he goes now. It's really not that big a deal if you stay a little disciplined about it. I find it very sad that a lot of people put these gorgeous babies down for this. He is so much fun and so very loving!!
Well...off to get some more work done! Hope everyone has a great day!
Stay safe out there!!

Morning All.
Oh Cheffie.....I love great sheets......we spend so many hours in bed I think we should all have some really great comfy sheets!!
I've been baking and baking. I found a great recipe for a sugar free frosting for one of our new dog cakes........I really didn't think it would turn out all that great....thought it would just taste like paste.......but it turned out WONDERFUL. It only uses honey, flour, milk, butter and vanilla. It whipped up great too!!! We named them after my business partner's great dane. They are Eleanor Paws. I have them frosted white right now...but since she is a harlequin dane....we are going to do a carob powder frosting and put little speckles on them too!!
Going to the doctor with my dad in just a little bit. He's had a bad week. I don't believe I have mentioned it but he is in stage 4 lung cancer. He worked in the insulation field for decades and with asbestos for quite awhile. We didn't find it until early this year when he was already in this late stage. He's always been very healthy.....so he's really struggling with this. He's not a candidate for really any treatments......so we are just taking things a day at a time and enjoying every moment.
Lovely sunset pic Mouse.......I have always loved your pictures!!!
All my best.......have a great day.....and be safe out there!!
