Ah yes, lunch. We decided to give our custom to one of the restaurants on the clifftop overlooking the main harbour. How about this for a backdrop? Not bad, eh? First things first - time for beer - only one, mind... Anyway, my good lady wanted a pizza, but I saw octopus on the menu, so... Very nice indeed

woo woo Something a little unexpected is always fun (well, almost always).
Mark, I want to thank you again for this great travelogue. A couple of years ago, I read a book about Pompeii to my little nephew. He found it sad but fascinating. It's a juvenile book, written to encourage kids to explore the subject. We had put off doing a Google search until he was off on another interest so when he came in the other day, I got him to look through your pictures. He appreciated it and so do I.

You may recall my saying that there weren't street names, but symbols, so that people could give directions? Well, here's one - as James May would say, "Oh, cock..." Reputed to be good luck to touch it; hmm... Anyway, moving on... This was a training area for the gladiators We didn't get up to the amphitheatre, but here you can see one of the theatres Look what was parked outside! As we pulled away, we could see that the cloud had finally cleared from Vesuvius A last look across the bay for today Limoncello is the local liqueur, so no surprise that the lemon is used widely - how about this for an ice cream seller! There is a lemon grove in Sorrento itself, so we paid it a visit And another gecko Next day was Capri smiley 1
