Well today I learn if this antibiotic treatment that I've been doing for the last 3 months has worked or not. I'm having the lung cat scan today. If the 11mm mass has shrunk then that's really good for me. If it hasn't shrunk or if it has gotten bigger there will be more lung surgery. I still haven't gotten over the last surgery from this past May.
hopefully, the treatment worked. anything but another surgery

what is truly insane is that i saw a christmas petsmart commercial the night before halloween. christmas season does NOT begin until the day after thanksgiving, no matter what stores do. in reality, christmas season doesn't begin until i see a chia pet commercial, or clapper, whichever comes first the oldies station in Sacramento started playing Christmas music on 11/1 so I wont listen to that station until after the 1st of the year again THAT is even more insane

If it's anything like the filleting I had six years ago - I fully agree about not wanting more! I had no idea just how weak (and feeble of course) it would leave me for a week or so... As for the scanning - CAT scan, PET scan (I was radioactive after, and told to sit in the back of the car on the way home, so as not to be too close to the driver!) a couple more rides on a '64 slice' CAT scanner - all these in different hospitals. Still, the surgery got rid of the tumour along with half the lung, and I'm still here to tell the tale. Best of luck with yours, Sugilite.

Well there is no change, NADA happened from the antibiotics. So I've been passed back to the lung surgeon. He doesn't want to do anything more for 4 months. Then it will be a cat scan, another lung biopsy. Then from there either more surgery or Gamma Knife Radiation. The 11mm mass is nothing like the little masses, it's another slow growing bug or slow growing tumor.

AT least it didn't get worse. Hang in there, Sugi.

just getting light..but looks dreary and very damp out there last night[bonfire night] passed very peacefully...some vague bangs going off in the distance..but nothing compared to a couple of years ago when it used to sound like a war zone under attack as the bangs and screams echoed around the hills frightening the animals to death

Morning all, no work today, I'm back tomorrow. It's a wet, cold and windy day here. Last nights fireworks had poor ole Stanley frightened out of his wits. He managed to get his fat self sat on my lap till Dallas got home. Hope everyone has a good day.

Sugilite I hope all went well with the results.
Perhaps I can warm you up girls. It is sunny and 27C. I have a few chores with shopping and I have to iron. I hate ironing but do it when I have to. Have a great day.

Yes, and in Knoxville with the Dogwood, Ornamental Pear and Red bud, the spring is especially wonderful. Now I'm getting home sick but there's a long cold winter ahead before I can visit again.
