My goodness! This is lovely. It looks a little different .. maybe more petals on the flowers, but it's surely close. I'll send this to her and tell her it's what I want for my b-day. Thank you, Chef. I love Wayside Gardens. My family has a long history as satisfied customers.

mouse, I agree with you, the plant in the photo does resemble a gardenia, though the gardenias I have seen were always white. However, Tennessee is right on the borderline of survival for that plant. It is not what time of day they get the sun, it is the harsher winters that rule them out as a successful outdoor plant north of Tennessee.
Beth, perhaps your daughter could take a clipping of the plant to a local nursery and find out more.

which ever.. they make a lovely plant And they smell really good, too. Daughter asked about her plant. She was told it's a fairly new (this decade) variation of a "bush rose" that is hardy and easy to grow. They are available at the plant stores and nurseries from early May into mid June. I'll remember that next year and pick up a couple.

I took this picture I am quite please with the outcome I got the camera very close to it (I am not so afraid of bees these days). You can see the honey on it's leg. That is a tomato plant flower.

That is a tomato plant flower. what type of camera do you have ...I love close ups where every thing looks so very different ....insects look positively scary close up.,. am always thankfull they are as small as they are Sony WX220 Compact Camera with 10x Optical Zoom I looked at the compact cameras in Curry's or wherever and I liked that one as it was that much smaller than the other compact cameras, it also seems more solid and well built, the other looked rather plastic and flimsy. I don't know a lot about cameras, but it fits nicely in the pocket, and does a bit more than the average snapper. Sony have always been very good at miniaturization, their Walkman was a lot better than the cheaper and bulkier rivals. One feature I like is I can transfer pictures wirelessly, it take a few minutes to connect though, but better than fiddling with cables. You can get bigger and better cameras of course and pay as much as a the price of a small car if you want, but that one seemed to be the right one for me a good balance of various requirements. I think it was about. Reviewed here. www.expertreviews.co.uk/digital-cameras/compact-digital-cameras/1400800/sony-wx220-review

I will try and stick any photos in the arts section in future now I know where to put them.

I can't see it, photobucket no longer is working for 3rd party hosting unless you pay them. Kronks, thanks. I just found that out today so I deleted my account with them plus they now charge $2.49 a month to go ad free which I refuse to pay also. Chef, you need to check over your posts because some of the no-shows are still up. If you miss one or two, I'll try to remember to delete them later.

I sent you a message but since it's Friday night you may have plans with family...I deleted all of June and July's posts with pictures...is there any need to go further back? If so, not a problem

went to the Tuesday Farmer's Market...may go to Thursday one.
I bought a small eggplant{never have tried}, sugar snap peas, yellow beans and fresh garlic.
I asked the gentleman with the yellow beans why mine keep dying, he smiled and informed me they need plaenty of sunshine and will die if growing indoors unless I buy a growing light....nothing ventured, nothing gained.
