My New Years Resolution is to find time to improve Babylon's music section.

The weather forecast says this will be the last day of this unseasonably warm weather. So far, it's part sunny, part cloudy and we'll probably get rain later this afternoon.
My sister is here and making a coconut rum cake for people coming around on Wednesday. She won't share the recipe. I'm hoping for the best and have put an order in to Kroger's bakery for one of their fantastic chocolate cream cakes so we'll have some variety. Otherwise, spiral cut ham, potatoes, asparagus and cabbage for good luck.

Something strange has happened down in the Information and Statistics part of this site.
I came by earlier and read a little. There were a lot more people who had signed in over the past 24 hours. Proboards has managed to drop most of the names! Weird.
I'm working & on break. Gotta go.

I have been busy with Ancestry research and apart from being descended from Henry 2nd. King of England/Eleanor of Aquitaine etc. I may also be descended from the Family of the first victim of the Salen Witch Trials. If so then I shall of course seek compensation from the Mather Family.

Congratulations, Toby1. May you realize everything due you I fear the unseasonably weather is moving out and the cold winds of winter are coming back in the next few days. Happy New Year to all.

toby... just prior to ww 1 it was said that most people in the British isle were related to each other and that among that majority the majority were related to the King [regardless of the hanovarian factor]… back then it was acknowledged that there had been no overwhelming immigration since the conquest.. and even the the conquest had not had that much effect of the bloodlines of ghe Saxon/Celt/scot gaelsetc etc ….same went for the French refugees and the French protestants …. all very contrary to todays deliberate over emphasis of diversity... what a horrible word that has become do you remember that chap in the east enders soap.... he found he was related to Edward longshanks and a couple of others...... so he will be your cousin

If my family members would cooperate, that's what I might do. As it is, my son and daughter in law will be picking me up for dinner out and a movie. At least I get to choose the film. Then, back here for toasts and to watch the ball fall in Times Square.
