I had a look and subscribed to give it a trial. Seems to me it might work as a chapter a night at bedtime relaxer. The Sue Grafton, Alphabet Mysteries seem good for starters. I've read a few so I'm familiar with the characters but there are plenty to go. Thanks for the information, Jessie. Does Alexa read it or a professional reader? It would be nice to have that range of information and material at my fingertips. I could read the books that have come out to give some insight into Donald Trump, or pollution vs climate change. My wife tried this and she likes it except the sound is too low if she's not right beside the Alexa. She's found a 3rd generation model and it promises better sound. I'll let you know how it works when she gets it. She's reading The Great Gatsby.

You should try it, Dex. It isn't exclusively for women.
I am currently reading Sue Grafton's A is for Alibi. So far, so good.

Maxx the cat is sitting on the window sill, watching the birds flitter from branch to branch - tree to tree. I don't know what they think of him, but Maxx seriously thinks they are his friends. They twitter at him and he meows back at them. :) He's a well fed house cat and just wants a little attention.

The forecast tells us tomorrow and into the weekend will be more of the same with temps in the low 80s F. tomorrow. Delightful.

It's slow here today. Must be that everybody's out enjoying the beautiful spring day. We got daughter's Easter dress and now I have to run it over to the seamstress in town to have it taken up a couple of inches in length. It's very very pretty but a little long. Have fun with your weekend guest, mouse.

We went to the country today (Saturday) and took 2 crates of tomato seedlings. They are not in a shelter on the back porch where they will be allowed to get a good start before we put them in the side garden. In the meantime, daughter will keep an eye on them and set out green onions and a few other things of her choice.
Sunday promises rain and possibly wind. At this time, the weather forecast for Easter is rather dismal.

brilliant sunshine and then quite grey as clouds pass over.. and very cold in the wind...so wont be going into the garden today unless the wind drops
jakies is as good as gold sleeping stretched out on one of the sofas inbetween going out for long and exciting walks where he can snuffle to his hearts content.. he is very brave about sheep until one actually decides to come towards him... then he squeeks and hides behind legs,,,, I was hoping the pheasant was going to come into the garden to see what jackies made of him.. so far we can hear his call but he is keeping clear of our garden
