lol Well, different people define Christianity in different ways. Perhaps he viewed Mythology with a scholar's eye and his commitment to Christianity was more personal.

Hi Jessiealan, Jesus apparently spoke to His Father God a few times, whether he got an answer, is anyone's guess. God's voice was definitely heard by quite a few people and this fact is what made people believe that God certainly existed.

Hi Mouse, if they came to the conclusion that Jesus never existed then they would also have to get rid of an awful lot of people who knew him and listened to him preaching. Besides that, the history of Jesus' crucifiction is in the archives of the Vatican. That is proof enough for me.

Do you demand proof or do you say, but they have a vested interest? What happened was history and it was recorded.

Lassie, that was not necessarily a slur. Anybody that makes money from religion has a vested interest.

What happened was history and it was recorded. as Sy says any one who makes money or power from any organisation has a vested interest and thus is not impartial.. we are talking of the Vatican here which wouldn't exist without religion .. which gives it enormous power and enormous wealth.. an organisation which has and will fight to the death to preserve what it has....however there are other proofs as well which lend credence to the fact that Jesus lived and just to muddy the waters a little ...a Pope [whose name escapes me] was quoted as saying...it has served us well this myth of Christ .... the lesson to us all should be never take things at face value ..especially from from the rich powerful and those with vested interests .. whether its reliions..politics or buying a computer or TV.. they all have a vested interest to promote

You must be permanently suspicious, so I guess it would be a waste of time if you were buying a Telivision Set, to ask the salesman which TV was the best one. Do you read all the labels on the food that you buy to see if it is as tasty as it says on the label? Ofcourse you would only know if you bought it and then tasted it for yourself. Quandary.!!! Quandary.!!! Quandary.!!!
