morning all...just having a mooch around and a quick read of posts feeling much better and gradually getting back to normality ..tomorrow I finish yet another lot of antibiotics ..so once thy are out of the way should forge ahead back to the land of the living yesterday was stormy and horrid..today very cold but dry however great clouds bank8ing up promising rain later Mouse, it's so nice to see you. Take it a little at a time. We'll be here. A storm is coming in tonight. The clouds have already come over but no idea when to expect it. The forecast added something about "damaging winds". That usually means chances of a temporary outage. The temps are going to drop about 30 degrees by tomorrow afternoon and long range forecasts don't expect it to be this warm again until April!!! It's been a nice couple of weeks but now everything's going back to normal. Best!

It's cold with snow flurries and some wind, just as forecast.
Nice and warm in the house though, with a ballgame on TV and chili cooking on the stove.

It is still very early. I am brewing a cup of tea to have with my toast and marmalade. The weather is wet and chilly. I wish all a good Sunday. The Oscar Awards are tonight. We always enjoy the show and have small wagers on the winners and losers.

I certainly hope the weather breaks for you, mouse. We have some seasonal and pleasant days coming up later in the week but it is very chilly right now. There is sun but a cold breeze.
Watching the Oscars last night was fun as we were with friends in a good atmosphere. I won the best song, and best supporting actress.
One of us had seen all the movies. He got several winners correct including Movie of the Year, which was announced incorrectly at first and only corrected after some confusion.
Moonlight won best picture, Casey Afflick won best actor and Emma Stone won best actress.

He is not a popular person in real life (for good reasons it seems), but that should not have anything to do with passing judgement on his acting ability. He did a helluva job in Manchester by the Sea and deserved the recognition.

We have had almost No Snow this winter. Only once and it melted off in 2 days. That kind of weather is what causes allergies to be worse.
We woke earfly this morning because the house was too warm. After only 2 days of chilly weather the temps have bounced back, going into the 60s today.
This is Mardi Gras, Fat Tuesday. Lent starts tomorrow. I have given up ice cream.
New Orleans had a problem this year as a drunk driver plowed into a group of revelers. It was a miracle no one was killed but several had to be treated at the hospital, 3 or 4 with serious injuries.
I am baking pies today, sweet potato and coconut cream.
