Coming into January a little late. That's okay, I have a feeling that, with the cold weather forecast, it will be loooong enough.
Whatever 2017 throws at us, we may be dismayed, but I doubt we'll be surprised.

Unusual name. Where does it come from? What do you suppose they'll call him for short? I noticed on the news this a.m. that Janet Jackson and her husband are parents for the first time. A son (at age 50 for janet).

Snow was falling earlier but has tapered off with only a very light drift on the grass. Now the sun is very bright and the sky light blue. Still very cold (highs in the 20s F) and supposed to continue like this for several days.
Although I'm taking my antibiotic regularly, I'm still down and (almost) out. Swollen glands, headache, low grade fever, stuffeed sinuses and the cough that usually goes with such things. Need to call my doctor and give him an update after lunch. ugh!

sunshine and perfect 46°.....
tomorrow is more sunshine for grocery shopping then the rain is returning for the next five days.
I was looking at the mountains in the distance and can see snow up there...I have no urge to go do a looky-loo.

We have snow, about an inch. Cold, now that the sun has gone down.
Take care of yourself, Beth, and all of us.

We have snow. Lots of skidding around during rush hour but no bad accidents most fortunately.

A band of winter storms are forecast to go through Georgia, Alabama, and the Carolinas over Friday and Friday night. Georgia governor alerted the people most likely to be affected and told them it would be wise to "lay in" enough groceries and supplies for 3 days.
Freezing rain, sleet and snow are fairly common for points north this time of year, but in the south this kind of forecast will probably cause panic. I lived in TE for years and anything more than a light snow covering was unusual.

Bitter cold in the 20 degrees fahrenheit with wind. No outside work today unless there's an emergency.
