Happy Halloween, Everyone. We usually have 50 or 60 Trick-or-treaters. Keeping that in mind, I'm less than thrilled we have at least 4 times that many little, snack sized candy bars. Snickers, twix, Hershey - dark and light chocolate, take five, and the very most popular Reeses cups. We HAD to have that many, apparently, because the past couple of days, they've been on sale - buy one bag, get another for half price. I assume daughter and friends will help finish off the left overs. I have a stash of one of each kind, safely in my purse. If you have to work today, go on, don't even think about this. Just get your week off to a good start.

I hope you have a good time, mouse.
Take it easy on the candy, Beth. I'm trying to lay off it this year.

It is a Halloween world out there today. Store clerks, bank tellers and even the folks in my doctor's front office are in costume. Very festive! We have our stash of trick or treat candy. I can remember when I used to bake brownies to give out to the children, but that is no longer allowed for fear of injury or poisoning. A shame. Mouse, I hope you enjoyed your birthday breakfast. We drove through McDonalds for sausage biscuits after my doctor appointment. Quite a treat, but, I'm sure not as good as yours. Happy Halloween to all!

Warm day. No question it's fall, though. It's a whole different kind of warm.
After today, we can put away the Halloween themes til next year and get out the Harvest backgrounds ... at least til Black Friday and the ramp up for Christmas.

All over for another year. Nice lot of trick or treaters. Glad to get rid of the candy! Off to take down the decorations and find a nice November calendar.
