i know what you mean. i didn't actually even start paying attention to it at all until a couple of weeks ago. just too much garbage elsewhere. i'll get up the field and all in the next couple of days. i imagine there are more than a few folks that can't get the taste of wisconsin out of their mouths I may sasy a couple of days but it will probably be 3 or 4. I want to get the Elections area up (over near Politics) next thing. But, Derby this coming week for sure. I don't expect to win money but it's always fun, anyway. it's been a good while since i would have won anything. like you say, it's the fun doing it that counts

Hello! Wanted to pop in and say hi and just give a little update. Health seems to be on the upturn. Found a new dr that seems to listen to me and has started trying new things instead of just throwing more drugs at me. Actually have a new DNA test where they swab the inside of your cheek and the test shows what drugs will work and not work on you. Since I am such a poor candidate for drugs......it was interesting to see how many do NOT work on me. Have no effect at all or adverse effects! I think EVERYONE should do this test......it could save millions in useless drugs not to mention time and just aggravation! It is called a Pharmacogenetic Test. I go back next month for another catscan and evaluation! I'm actually excited about a future of no-chronic pain!! Woohoo!!! I hope all it well with all of you. I miss you. Hope to be able to pop back in more often! Here's a new pic.......(oh...did I mention the purple in my hair....lol) absolutely grand to see you. did you fall into a beet bush?

It's been a nice warm leisurely day and, though I hate to admit it, I'm having trouble holding my eyes open. Right now, I need a short nap (1 hour) and I'll be all better.
See you later.

I'd like very much to give thumbs up and also karma to Chelonian, Fret and mouse for the outstanding posts on the thread about America and guns/health care. I did leave the thumbs up but was told I'd have to wait to award more kp.
Beth, if you can help me with this, please increase the karma of each by one point. Thank you!

I see the orange, mouse. How sweet! We have fallen out of the 70 degrees F, into the 60s for a few days. The dogwood's are budded out so it must be out dogwood winter.

Good Sunday afternoon. We did not go to Mass this morning as it is chilly and my husband has a persistent cough. We made pancakes and our neighbors came over and had a share of them with us. It made a nice visit and we shared their New York Times as well. May you all have a pleasant rest of the weekend.

Mine was reasonably nice but nothing out the ordinary on this pleasant Sunday in mid-April, 2015. Our temps have dropped 10 degrees since noon and set to drop 10 more by dawn. Nothing too extreme but reason to drag out the jackets again. Goodnight U. S., and especially the Greater Ohio River Valley. Good morning U.K. and especially a neat residential street in London where the sun is just up and the birds are starting to chirp (GM, Fret ). Enjoy your Monday. See you all later.

Monday and the beginning of another week..quite a busy one as well...with some thing on every day at some point beautiful day but rather cold as yet...am told we are having a warm spell...well yesterday was anything but warm with a nasty east wind cutting through clothes and giving shivers off out early tomorrow for a cheese and chocolate day...in deepest Derbyshire...we are leaving early so may not have time to come and post...all depends on how early I wake up and how long it takes to do the chores before its time to go...

What is this plant, mouse? Is it in bloom now or was this taken at some other time? My dogwoods are in bud and should be blooming nicely by the weekend. I sat down with my coffee to watch a little TV news but didn't stay long. What little new information we have coming in is dismal and spare. Instead of trying to share any of it, I'll just say I'm trying some new caramel creamer in my coffee and it is delicious. I had thought it might be too sweet but it is just right.
