Here's, in my opinion, Bon- Jovi's best song! He's got alot of great ones but, I've always loved this one most.

Hey thanks for starting the thread pumpkin. I'd love to watch the vid but good old VEVO doesn't like us down south.
I think my fave band ever. INXS. Led by the charismatic Michael Hutchence. This is Live Aid from '85. Just terrific.

Their very 1st single. The talent blows me away. These are guys in their early 20's, late teens and they come up with this as their 1st single. Just awesome.

What would the 80's be without Duran Duran?
I'm doing my best to avoid their evil recording company EMI!!!

This guy's always been underrated, as far as I'm concerned. He was massive in the 80's. This song is a little ripper.

Hey thanks for starting the thread pumpkin. I'd love to watch the vid but good old VEVO doesn't like us down south. A put up a couple other good ones now, that you really should see, cause they are excellent videos and performances! You can embed my links or whatever you have to do so you can see them Gabe. I don't know how to do that. I want you to be able to enjoy them too!

I liked the Belinda Carlisle - I'm going to '80's music trivia mode...She married the son of actor James Mason (I can't think of his 1st name) and he was an advisor to Pres Reagan. Shake head, dislodge trivia. You got me on the 2nd song. Never, ever heard of it! Thanks for posting. VEVO is a company that won't allow videos to be shown in Australia so with all the good will in the world I can't embed what I can't see. I know it works the other way as well and to other countries around the world. Anyway, enough of that. I think Alex the Seal is appropriate, don't you? Live from '82.

I'll add one more. I really like this song. I always think of Numan as Bowie lite. I know this is technically '79 but it's always been an 80's song to me. The techno pop is light years away from the disco and a breath away from the New Romantics. A link, perhaps. It's a great song. What impresses me the most is that he used a real drummer, not a synchro machine.

Terrific song.

Oh yeah. The boys from '81. Wow, that's almost 30 years ago!
Hutchence was a di**head. Really. All that music and to lose it over some chick that Bob Geldorf, FGS, had!
Whatever. Another great song.

Brings particular memories of a half-Corsican half-French Parisian young lady who adored it and did pretty well by me too My 11 years younger half-brother (gods know what the other half is ) was into heavy metal and 50s rock, but I was psychedelia, glam rock and New Romantics.
