cold darkish and very damp..seems to be no let up...just a fine day now and then Son 2..dil and Grandaughter will all be ion the Paris walk today...hope it goes off peacefully there will probably be ten thousand cops. that should make it go off peacefully the police and security services will indeed be there but not to protect the population at large..but to protect the great and good...the great and good who have been and who are responsible for the terrorism and who have willingly and knowingly allowed terrorism to thrive in our countries....against the wishes of the populations of those countries the leaders who even now are still in denial of what this is all about

Love the kitties, Sugi. They are beautiful! I watched a little cable TV tonight. Some of the conservative commentators are of the opinion Jeb Bush is a sure thing for the Republican nomination for President. In fact, one said Jeb would have the big money donors all wrapped up by spring 2015. Going to need a lot of popcorn. This is going to be a very interesting couple of years. We're still sitting in a cold pocket that doesn't want to relax it's hold on us. Now they're saying it should ease up by Monday. Fingers crossed. Off to bed now. Hope everyone's having a tolerable to good weekend. One more day to enjoy it. we're supposed to warm all the way up to 42 today. we weren't supposed to get above freezing until today, but yesterday it got up to 33 Well, that's progress. Winter works best in the 40s and 50s with the occasional snowy week.

The people of Paris are brave and determined to carry this through.

Many dignitaries attended and it seems to have gone peacefully. I am sure you are very proud of your Granddaughter for taking part.

Winter works best in the 40s and 50s with the occasional snowy week. as long as the wind isn't blowing, i can handle it in the mid twenties. that one pic of me in the snow in a tshirt was taken when it was thirty, but no wind. ideally though, yeah, forty is perfect for the winter. our normal lows for now are 29, but average high is still in the forties. today is the first forty in a week. it can wreak havoc with the light bill, but, this year, i'm only heating the bedroom. the rest of the house can just stay cold. of course, when it goes below thirty, i have to turn on both heat lamps for chinook's house. i only use one when it's in the thirties.

There's no doubt you take good care of your dogs Jumbo. We are on the way home from Sunday dinner at the inlaws. A winter storm with ice is forecast here for late this afternoon so it's home for the rest of the day.

We've had wind during the past week but it's better now. There's a storm forecast for this evening. No idea how that's going to shape up. It will bepend on the temperature whether it's rain or ice or snow.

I've been happy just hanging out at home and keeping warm this weekend. When in doubt about what to fix at home that isn't a lot of trouble but really tasty, try oven warmed croissants with chicken or ham and a nice citrus fruit salad .. one of my favorite easy warm weather meals.

I am sure you are very proud of your Granddaughter for taking part. it went well and granddaughter her mother papa and her three cousins returned to their homes tired but having learned a basic lesson of their country...huge gatherings do not have to be frightening and that some times one has to make a visual effort to retain their civil rights...and the sheer numbers will be for ever imprinted on them..that freedom has to be sometimes put before individual comfort and some times has to be visually reinforced to get the message across
