went with daughter to the farmshop garden centre...wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee feel liberated and bought lots of eatable goodies they now do home made breads and cakes on Fridays...so it would have been a little churlish not to have bought some tasters
she and grandson have now gone winter boot [and other needs]buying..but I didn't feel up to a trudge around proper shops..am quite happy with a short outing for today..an other one planned for tomorrow just to ease back into mainstream life

Chilly with rain here, just as predicted.
Not good weather for trick or treats. I'll be giving out handfuls of candy to the brave little goblins that trudge up and down the street in a little while.
Right now, I'm going to adjust the thermostat and fix a hot bowl of soup for lunch.
Later.

lol Jim. That's not a Halloween song, is it? ha ha Kids seem to like the sound effects - chains rattling, wind blowing, doors creaking and of course .. cats yowling, best. i don't know that it's a real halloween song, but, if i saw a purple people eater any other time, i would probably be concerned

i hope you have a nice evening, Beth. Yes Jumbo. That one is one the CD. The children always seem so happy to be out in their costumes collecting candy they like everything. That's why it is also so important to remind them not to talk to strangers, stick together and so on. i don't know about there, but, here, i think the costumes are going to be a waste. at 3pm, it is 39, with about a fifteen mph breeze. the kids are going to have to be wearing good coats over their costumes. hell, i haven't seen a trick or treater in 25 years, anyway

Trick or treaters are mostly town and suburb critters since lots of homes and low traffic provide the best situation for the kids. That's really cold weather for southern TE ... even with November closing in. Stay warm. It can't last long.

had fun trick or treating with hubby and our little one. She was in a bunny costume that was loose enough for me to pile on the warm clothes underneath and the gloves and white fur boots were part of the costume. We took her round to about 12 or 14 houses and then filled the pumpkin up with more treats when we got home. She can have one or two a day until their gone. Tommy and I will help her. Hope you all had a good'un.

Yay for you, Chris.
I know what you mean. Our trick or treaters not only had rain but cold rain - temps down in the 40s.

Hi Joy! Sounds like you're having a good weekend ... spring there, moving on toward summer. I'd like some of that. I hear you, Annie. I'd like a picture in my email if you have one to spare. Sounds adorable.
