Fascinating, Mark! You have been there when history was made. Thanks, Anna. I wouldn't say 'history' though; it's sadly a regular event these days. It's a very big problem, and I cannot see an end to it any time soon.

We do have good weather all year around Beth being semi tropical. A cold day for me is 22c.
What a beautiful day Friday is. Sun shining around 25C. Been to exercise classes did a fairly hard work out, walking down the beach this afternoon. Hubby is cooking dinner, making a Lasagna so I am on the computer playing.

why? it should have given you credit also. it talks like ridgeway did something heroic Thanks, Jim. Well, there are some who would say that these people should be left to their own devices, & would give us grief over what we did. Obviously these critical folk aren't seafarers, & don't understand the ethics of the sea... Yes, it is twisted to sound as though the Ridgeway was the hero - in fact she was the third ship on scene & was reluctant to use her own boats. We and the Stolt Sagaland were busy with ours... Actually, the operation itself was textbook - conditions were perfect.

I'll bet all of you are just glad it's over and done with, Mark. Hope everyone is having a nice Saturday,. It's a beautiful, warm, sunny day here. Our heat wave seems to be over and a week of wonderful, moderate, low humidity days are coming up. Just in time for the start of college football season. Read that "University" if it makes more sense to you. Here, "college" and "university" are almost synonymous but I gather it's a little different in the U.K.. I'll try to find some stats and schedules if anyone wants to choose a team to follow. I'm sitting right in the middle of a nice selection of teams who usually do well (or fairly well) in the national lineup. Since my alma mater is a basketball school, their football is a little weak (if very flamboyant and colourful). My best bet is probably going to be U of Louisville or one of the Ohio teams. Mouse and the Marshalls will be away this coming week so we need to post like mad and welcome them back soon. .

Just passing north of Algiers.
Nice to be getting back to some semblance of normality now.
A quick deviation into Algeciras Bay tomorrow afternoon to pick up a couple of technicians & off we go to Zeebrugge. There's 8/9 days of mayhem scheduled there as we commission the LNG fuel system, then on to Tees for more 'interesting days' as we gas up, cool down & commission our cargo plant, then load our first cargo of Ethylene.
