I really like 30's and 40's big band music. Since no-one else is posting, I may as well indulge myself.
Glenn Miller. American Patrol. Boring vid but pretty good audio.

I'm indulging myself again. Recorded 1935, this version 1940.
This music is 75 years old! Fox trot, so I'm told. I'd love to see a live version of him and his band playing In the Mood, but I don't think one exists.

I don't know about that one. It might be too far back to be thought of as an "oldie". Wouldn't it be swing or something? Here's one. Dedicated to my wife and to Jen, because they like it so much.

Thank You, Dex! Yes, that's probably my favorite oldie. I didn't know your wife likes it, too. Good taste.

I can remember being at a bowling alley with my parents, uncles and aunts, hearing "Runaway" coming from the speakers in the ceiling as it was raining out side. It's always been my favorite old Rock 'N' Roll song. I still miss Del Shannon.
"Shannon committed suicide on February 8, 1990, with a .22-cal. rifle at his home in Santa Clarita, California, while on a prescription dose of the anti-depressant drug Prozac."

BABY IT'S YOU!!!! I love that song-- was 13 when it was out. Great time to be a teenager. Wow, is that old enough to be an oldie... that means I am old..
