Ah ... whate the Daily Mail does best. I may help myself to one of those pics to put in the Somewhere in England ... thread on Pictures in the News. You're right, Jim. Going to Owensboro is considered a "trip".

Lovely Friday weather wise. Been to exercise classes and out to an Italian Restaurant this evening so it will be a great day.

Just departing Melkoya/Hammerfest, bound for the Skaw for bunkers, then Rafnes.
It's blowing like hell outside the fjord - promises to be an 'interesting' passage south, I fancy...
Everything (hopefully) is secured - here we go...

I thought you were talking about The Creationist Museum. lol I was uber tired last night, seriously. yeah, i wondered about that when i read it. just up the road, in your case, is about 180 miles or so. i guess that i'm a hundred miles the other way I'm 4000 miles away! As I said: relatively speaking...

I hope the extra activity is of a pleasant nature, mouse. Jumbo, I do not think I've ever been to Owensboro, but I am very partial to Louisville in Kentucky. It woulid be my choice for a day trip.

yes Jessie it was pleasant as it was people... a lovely afternoon yesterday once it stopped raining..but didn't get into the garden... am longing to get out of the house and just sit or potter in the sun this morning is dry but grey with quite a wind .. friend coming to cut my hair which is just an untidy mess and needs a good cut badly...have always loathed hairdressers .. so am happy to let my friend do it have always had a great desire to have my head shaved but never quite had the courage so if our neighbour/friend loses hers due to chemo I have said I will have my head shaved in sympathy...daughter says I will look like a pea head on a pair of shoulders [as while not deformed according to daughter] ...[there are times when ones offspring are anything but complimentary]

Not a nice morning here, just off Tromsoe. Blowing a hooly; we're down to 6 knots, but she's riding the seas quite well. Just had a bad hailstorm, temperature is 2ºC/36ºF

Glad you had a good day, yesterday, mouse. Hope this gusty day is just a temporary pause in your trek into spring.
Hold on tight, Mark. Sounds pretty treacherous for you all. Sending you good wishes for safety and better weather.
