my friend in wales is one of those without electricity..luckily she has a multifuel stove to keep warm with..and yesterday they faced winds of 108..acording to the national news we had gusts of 100 and even in the house with the tv on we could hear the winds raging out side and trees were tossed around like match sticks..daughter took dog out and had to come back before she was blown off her feet...and it rained and rained this morning its much calmer with no wind to speak of and sunshine at the moment..but clouds in the west our prime minister says..we haven't seen anything yet...and worse is to come on Friday Mark am glad you were not in the channel...it looked vile from the news shots..when some where like Aberdarron and Criceieth hit the weather news it has to be awfully bad

The sun is shining here, but the temps are in the teens (degrees F) and everything outside has a layer of frost or snow or ice.
Keep to the house and stay warm, mouse. I'm sure you do not need encouragement to do that!

is looking yuk out there..grey and gloomy with a so so wind and looks like rain too seems we are in for yet another deluge..my hearty goes out to those so very badly affected..and when its known it was mostly doen to man and green.environmental directives I can understand just how very angry those on the sharp end are it comes down to the rivers undredged[to save a mollusc in the case of the thames]..dykes allowed to go uncleared etc etc ..lack of tree planting etc etc .....incompetence and the green lobby combined with the bastard EU SOME OFFICIALS HAVE STOPPED THEIR PEOPLE GOING TO ONE AREA..ON THE GROUNDS THAT THEIR PEOPLE GOT VERBALLY ABUSED....for crying out loud verbal abuse is nothing compared to losing every thing you have worked for be cause of deliberate blindsiding and directives from the agendas of others the government need get a grip and get a backbione and do the job your paid for....the interests of the people should come well before damned snals and water voles ironicly the very species they were ahem..protecting will have a struggle to survive the deluge and filth of the waters... so its a loose all round

washing machine chap came...and its worth just yhaving a repair rather than a new one...but not until next Wednesday...so the washing will be really piling up by then
its raining and a wind is getting up..could be a stormy night...seem s to be a question of what happens next as its all bad on the weather front..with possible snow adding to our woes and the electricity keeps flitting off.. eughghghgghghg

I'm very glad I just had a half day Friday, today and got home early. Right now, It has started to snow and is getting slick. I've had 2 calls in the past 15 minutes that traffic is horrible ... a "mass exodus from downtown Cincinnati". I've been in the middle of those in the past and they are no fun at all. It's still in the mid 30s (degrees F) so the snow has started as a very soft downpour mixed with sleet. But, the forecast is 3 to 5 with very hazardous road conditions caused by this winter mix accumulating and freezing into road ice as the temps drop.
I was hoping this one would pass us by but ... no luck. Fingers crossed for the commuters out there right now.

Sounds very nice Joseph. I would take the weather in a heartbeat, but I would not like living so far from my family. I am glad you are looking forward to a warm weekend. Make the most of it.
